We worked intensively with the team at Gwinear Gwithian Parish Council over several months to deliver a complete solution for both their email system and new website. We were particularly attracted to the brief they supplied as it was extremely well thought out. The council team seemed to have grasped more quickly than some the opportunities for social media for engaging the community they represent so we trained them to use their new Facebook page & Twitter account accordingly!

We used some of our own photography on the homepage to highlight the outstanding landscapes of the Parish and added a host of customised features such as Cornish language sections and local weather data.

Working with a Parish Council means dealing with a diverse group of people and as web designers, it was critical we worked at a pace that suits a team that governs by consensus. Our co-operative approach coupled with our ability to give frank advice as a project rolls out helped to deliver a site that the team at Gwinear Gwithian can be proud of.

Caffeine Partnership

The Caffeine Partnership “helps brands, businesses and people to grow fast” so when this team of dynamic consultants wanted to reach & expand their client base and stimulate them to sign up to their regular interactive learning classes they selected SeaDog IT to advise them and set up their Newsletter. Setting up an Email marketing system is a specialised service – you have privacy regulations to consider – not to mention working out the most effective way to engage your readers with style and quality content.

We elected to use the MailChimp software as it is consistently highly rated by the industry for its’ flexibility with design templates, report analysis and email deliverability. In addition, it integrates well with social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Gaisford Surf Equipment

The client produces a range of quality surf rescue and sports related equipment that is used all over the world. Their existing site was dated and in urgent need of a fresh look that would reinvigorate the brand and remind the customer base of the quality and reputation of the products offered in an increasingly competitive market.

The client was initially reluctant to make best use of some of the social networking features we suggested but with some hands-on training from SeaDog IT – and having seen the benefits and the “free” advertising that these tools were generating – has become a recent convert.

We developed an intimate perspective of how the client’s business functions and were able to highlight the key selling propositions into the design of the site.

Sweetpea & Betty

We had to create a site that captured the unique sales experience that visitors to the boutique find when they enter the world of “Sweetpea & Betty”. To achieve this we had to take hundreds of photographs of both products and the interior of the store – and then carefully select and edit them for continuity with the brand, theme and “feel” the owners had envisaged.

The “back-end” design of the site required some considerable forward planning as the client plans to sell on-line – so we have designed the site with e-commerce functionality built in – all ready to go when the client is ready.

As one of the key success factors for this business depends on building a client base around some of the “upcycling” workshops they run, the social networking features we built into the site were critical in helping drive traffic to the site – which will pay dividends when the shop goes “live”.
