Content Management Systems

If your business requires a website that requires regular updates – particularly if these relate to new text or image content then a Content Management System or “CMS” is often the answer. A CMS will allow you to access your website from anywhere in the world, without you or your staff requiring more than a basic familiarity with online login processes. You will be able to safely update and amend your online presence. The integrated online editor will help you refresh any aspect of your site, be that news and features – or pricing and special offers – and you can upload images and brochures easily. At SeaDog IT we like WordPress. WordPress is an extremely popular open source blogging and CMS platform. It allows us as web designers to integrate advanced features in a fraction of the time it would traditionally take -  resulting in reduced cost for advanced website features. We will install WordPress on your server so that development for the new site can begin. During this time a temporary website can be set up as an extension to the existing site. All content made for this site will be easily migrated to the new site when it goes live, so no time is wasted. WordPress is open source (free). We do not charge for WordPress. We charge for the time it takes to set up and customize to your design brief.

Hosting

We charge a usage-based fee for web hosting. This means that unlike most other hosting providers, you don’t pay for any more than you use over our base fee. Our base fee is £14.95 per month. We find that many client’s web hosting demands will not exceed this base fee for at least the first year. As traffic increases we may increase our hosting charge but we will monitor your usage and inform you when an upgrade on hosting is necessary. Any hosting fees will be agreed in advance and added to your existing monthly service rental bill.

e-Commerce

Our e-commerce integration solutions can include stock control, the ability to have digital products delivered automatically (e.g. audiobooks), full payment gateway compatibility and heaps of other exciting features that will help you sell more. Clients can also use our e-commerce solutions to sell digital products such as training material. Digital products can be delivered automatically to customers via email after payment has been processed. This proposal is for setting up the e-commerce shop and does not include adding any products or training. If you have an existing 3rd party payment processor we can also integrate them into the new site. These details would be fully  reviewed in depth before work begins.

email Systems

For new and existing websites we will set up and design an email system that suits the needs of your business or organisation.
